Plates are removable devices which depending on there design can be worn only at night or throughout the day. Plates perform various functions including such important ones like changing the width of a palate and the shape of the jaw bones. The plate is also made individually by impression and retained on teeth with thin wire hooks. It can be removed while eating or brushing teeth and then put back on. |
