Parodentium is the tissue surrounding a tooth. The most common periodontal diseases are gingivitis (inflammation of gums) andperiodontitis (destruction of the tooth’s supporting tissue). As a rule these are two interrelated forms of disease. First, there is inflammation in the gingival tissues and in the future it involves the nearest structures of parodentium - periodontal ligament and alveolar bone. |
